Todo el mundo espera que pase pronto y caiga la noche, pero \u00e9l tiene su amor propio y espera poder vivir su momento, con la misma calma con la que lo han hecho el resto de d\u00edas del a\u00f1o. Y as\u00ed va transcurriendo segundo a segundo, minuto a minuto, y hora a hora&#8230; Y las agujas bailan al son del tic tac, y el tic tac suena al ritmo acompasado de las agujas de un reloj algo cansado&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>En el \u00faltimo d\u00eda del a\u00f1o cualquier cosa puede suceder, al igual que en cualquier d\u00eda del resto del a\u00f1o: puedes cometer mil errores, pisar charcos, silbar unas cuantas canciones o comer macarrones. A\u00f1orar abrazos, contar canas, morder palos o atarte los cordones de los zapatos boca abajo. Y si no llegas a hacer alguna de esas muchas cosas, el \u00faltimo d\u00eda del a\u00f1o cree que al llegar el \u00faltimo no se le tiene en cuenta y se siente herido, como solo a un d\u00eda se le puede herir: con la indiferencia de la \u00faltima hoja del calendario que es arrancada y tirada a la papelera de los a\u00f1os perdidos.<\/p>\n<p>El \u00faltimo d\u00eda del a\u00f1o es una estrella de az\u00facar. Y tambi\u00e9n una rueda pinchada. Un millar de posibilidades o ninguna, dependiendo de lo que elijas. Es un d\u00eda perfecto para que el hombre invisible se refleje en un espejo o para hacer una  llamada a tu fantasma favorito. Para cavar el agujero m\u00e1s profundo de la Historia y para poner a la venta tu disfraz de mentecato. Para perderse y volverse a encontrar. Un d\u00eda ideal para dejarse llevar por la corriente, mecido por las horas. Si te apetece puedes llorar mares. Si quieres, puedes re\u00edr a raudales. Tambi\u00e9n regar tus rosales. Todo eso se puede hacer en un d\u00eda como hoy, que es el \u00faltimo, pero que sabe como el primero.
