Son las mismas que todo el mundo lleva dentro y que no se pueden evitar bajar de vez en cuando. El camino no est\u00e1 iluminado y no puede ver ni lo que le aguarda un par de escalones m\u00e1s abajo. Piensa que subir a tientas ser\u00e1 peligroso. No necesita mirar las paredes para saber lo que hay en ellas. Est\u00e1n repletas, ya lo sabe, de cuadros con los peores pensamientos.<\/p>\n<p>Pero no puede evitar mirarlos.<\/p>\n<p>Aprieta el paso, baja todav\u00eda m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido, hasta que ya no quedan m\u00e1s pelda\u00f1os, ni m\u00e1s pensamientos de los que huir. Recupera la respiraci\u00f3n e intenta ver algo alrededor.<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" width=\"280\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hangingstars.com\/tbt\/wp-content\/uploads\/old\/weblog\/20060128.jpg\" height=\"350\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Abajo todo es oscuro, pero es una oscuridad que reconforta, porque nadie puede reconocerle&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Alarga la mano y coge el bulto que le queda m\u00e1s cerca: es un ba\u00fal de madera. Se sienta y deja caer la cabeza entre las manos.<\/p>\n<p>Abajo todo es silencio.<\/p>\n<p>El protagonista pasa as\u00ed lo que le parece una eternidad. Varias veces ha reconsiderado intentar la subida, pero no lo hace, ya no sabe ni donde quedan las escaleras. Quiz\u00e1s nadie se haya dado cuenta de que ha desaparecido y por eso no vendr\u00e1n nunca a buscarle.<\/p>\n<p>Abajo todo es h\u00famedo, y la soledad se te pega tanto a la piel que no conseguir\u00edas quit\u00e1rtela aunque quisieras. Pero \u00e9l deja que se le adhiera, no le importa.<\/p>\n<p>Ya ha pasado tanto tiempo ah\u00ed fuera&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Casi piensa que no tiene fuerzas para encontrar dentro de \u00e9l la respuesta. Tampoco la encontrar\u00eda fuera seguramente.<\/p>\n<p>Decide no arriesgarse.<\/p>\n<p>Pero este cuento tiene s\u00f3lo dos finales posibles:<\/p>\n<p>En uno, el protagonista sale del s\u00f3tano por su propio pie. Vuelve a la luz y se encuentra con todos arriba esper\u00e1ndole con t\u00e9 y galletas. Este es el final que nos gustar\u00eda a todos. Es justo el contrario del final que nunca nunca nunca ocurrir\u00e1 -el de el protagonista solo y la puerta que conduce al s\u00f3tano olvidada, posiblemente tapada por un mueble desde dentro-.<\/p>\n<p>En el otro, alguien abre la puerta y asoma con una vela. Dice en voz alta un nombre y, aunque nadie le responde, empieza a bajar despacito, con cautela. La tenue luz ilumina al protagonista, agazapado contra un costado del ba\u00fal. Al principio duda, le cuesta mirar hacia arriba. Da un poquito de miedo, subir es enfrentarse a muchas cosas, abajo es m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil olvidarse de ellas&#8230;Pero no puede estar toda la vida bajando una y otra vez.<\/p>\n<p>Coge la mano que le tiende ese alguien, y juntos suben&#8230;\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>[La chica vuelve a doblar el folio y abandona el escenario\u2026 Nadie podr\u00eda haber escrito mejor el gui\u00f3n\u2026 Ni el propio protagonista\u2026]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[La chica con las medias a rayas sale al escenario y despliega el folio con su historia\u2026 Entonces carraspea y empieza a leerla con calma\u2026] &#8211; \u00abEl protagonista baja las escaleras que conducen al s\u00f3tano.
